Súper Estrikas
The animated comic strip is about the adventures of a boy, "Shakes" and his Super Estrikas team explore the exciting world of professional soccer players and their interesting life stories. These revered comics have helped people of all ages read and learn about life through experiencing the characters' dreams and aspirations as well as their struggles and setbacks.

Super Estrikas made its Latin America debut in Colombia early in 2006, and in 2007, it expanded into El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Panama. And because of soccer's remarkable popularity in Latin America, in less than one year, Super Estrikas became the region's largest youth publication with a circulation of close to 400,000 copies.

The sponsorship of Super Estrikas began eight years ago in South Africa, where it's known as Supa Strikas. Originally launched in newspapers the comic quickly became very popular and found its way onto the internet and became an animation. Teachers found this a very popular way to promote reading and education. Since that time, the success has expanded to countries like Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Cameroon and Pakistan.

Since its inception as a comic strip, Supa Estrikas has expanded its reach through outlets like web and television. In Latin America, Caracol and ESPN are airing episodes, as well as broadcasters like SABC, UBC and Nation TV in Africa.
