• TMS, Second Time Around: Juan Pablo Montoya earned his second of six top-10 finishes this season at his first NASCAR NEXTEL Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway in April. Despite the ever-changing weather that weekend, Montoya started 16th after rain canceled qualifying. The Texaco/Havoline Dodge was tight through the start of the race, but after several adjustments Montoya was battling in the top 10. Montoya finished the day in the eighth position at his first Cup race at the 1.5-mile track.



• Full Service: Montoya and the Texaco/Havoline crew will greet race fans at a local Texaco station in Fort Worth, Texas, this Thursday, Nov. 1, heading into this weekend's race at Texas Motor Speedway. Montoya and the crew will stop by the Texaco station on Meachum Dr., in Fort Worth from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, but not to do the average team appearance. Instead, they will be pumping Texaco fuel for customers, and also plan to challenge patrons on the No. 42 pit stop simulator in the parking lot of the station that is located off exit 56A on I-35. In addition to meeting Montoya and the team, local customers and fans will also have the opportunity to win various prizes including: gift cards, autographed Montoya photographs, caps, t-shirts and numerous other No. 42 Texaco/Havoline race team merchandise.



• Standings: Montoya lost one spot in the 2007 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup standings with his 34th-place finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He now sits 20th in the standings after the 33rd race of the season, just 82 points out of 17th.



• Rookie Race: Montoya still leads the Raybestos Rookie standings by 19 points over David Ragan (232-213). Montoya's eighth-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway in April earned him his third of 14 rookie of the race honors this season. Montoya is poised to become the fourth driver for Texaco/Havoline to earn the Raybestos Rookie honor (Davey Allison, Kenny Irwin and Jamie McMurray).



• Atlanta CoT Test: Montoya, Wingo and the No. 42 crew participated in the two-day test at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Monday and Tuesday. It was the first 1.5-mile test for the Car of Tomorrow (CoT) sanctioned by NASCAR. Montoya was joined by teammate Reed Sorenson, and 2008 driver of the No. 40 Dodge Avenger Dario Franchitti.



• Chassis: Crew Chief Donnie Wingo and the No. 42 team are bringing chassis #707 to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend, the same chassis they finished second with at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This will be the sixth race for chassis #707 this season. Montoya drove this car in the 600-mile race at Lowe's Motor Speedway in May, where he started from the 20th position and finished 28th after being involved in a multi-car incident. He also drove it at Michigan International Speedway in June where he finished 43rd, at Indianapolis (second), at Pocono Raceway where he finished 16th, and most recently at California Speedway where he finished 33rd after a blown engine in qualifying and a pit road incident during the race.



• Celebrating 20 Years: In celebration of Texaco's 20th anniversary in sponsoring stock car racing and a successful rookie season for rookie Montoya, Chevron Products Company introduced its special limited edition gift card carrying the image of the No. 42 Texaco/Havoline race car and Montoya. The Texaco/Havoline-branded gift cards are now available for purchase in denominations up to $100 at participating Texaco stations or online at www.texaco.com.



• Sirius-ly: Montoya and the team will be featured weekly on Sirius Satellite Radio's Driver2Crew Chatter. Driver2Crew Chatter puts fans in the car and in the pits. Fans can listen to Montoya's radio communication with Crew Chief Wingo, Spotter Tab Boyd and the rest of the Team on channel 119. Listen in every Monday at 5 p.m. ET on channel 128 for the "Juan Pablo Montoya Report." Montoya provides exclusive updates on the No. 42 Team; gives post-race downloads and shares his own personal experiences on his jump full-time into the NEXTEL Cup Series.
