Young Artist Calendar 2007
Based on the theme "Safety in my World," the 2007 young Artist calendar features students from the ages of 9 to 12 and their artistic impressions of what safety means to them. By starting with local selected schools in six geopolitical zones, an appropriately appointed panel of judges collaborated on which works of art were most imaginative. The best students in each school were then selected for a national contest where the top finishers will have their artwork featured in the calendar.

Each local school has received N50,000.00 from Texaco to run the arts competition, and the first, second and third-place winners received prize winnings of N25,000, N15,000 and N10,000 respectively.

All first-place winners from local competitions became eligible for the national contest. First, second and third-place national finishers have received prize winnings of N100,000, N50,000, and N30,000 respectively. Certificates of participation will be presented to all entrants, and winning schools of the national competition will receive plaques.
