People in the Know Media Campaign
For nearly 100 years, the shining star of Texaco has been a symbol of enduring performance across West Africa. To deepen the relationship and longstanding trust customers have with Texaco, the company launched a "People in the Know" media campaign in 2005 focused around the theme "Shine On," which was well received by the public in both print and radio.
Not only is Texaco viewed by many as a performance brand, but customers also see Texaco as a time-tested brand that car experts trust. To highlight these attributes, Texaco's 2006 "People in the Know" campaign is focused on the theme "Trust Your Car to the Star." The radio spots celebrate the experts who love their cars, are driven by performance and trust only one brand of fuel -- Texaco.
