

Texaco Motor Park Road Show
Over the century that the automobile has been a fixture in our lives, Texaco has been a trusted symbol for motorists who care about their cars and about driving. Building on this reputation, Texaco has been traveling West Africa with a road show campaign designed to help keep motorists informed on the latest information related to car care, driving safety, new Texaco products, and social programs in local communities.
By partnering with the Federal Road Safety Commission, the "Trust Your Car to the Star" campaign puts specific focus on driving safety issues like vehicle inspection, defensive driving, and the promotion of using seat belts to help ensure our valued Texaco customers arrive at their daily destinations without incident. The program has seen significant popularity with nearly 5,000 professional drivers having passed through the program in 2005.
In addition to road safety, customers are also learning about how to keep their cars in optimal running condition through the use of quality Texaco products. Through featuring Texaco's entertaining comic-based soccer team Supa Strikas, as well as promotional product and merchandise giveaways at the road shows, the "Trust Your Car to the Star" campaign has been a huge success with our valued customers.
