Texaco in Congo
The Texaco brand is re-entering Congo following an agreement signed in May 2002 to invest more than $7 million in downstream operations in the country. Some 40 service stations are being re-branded with the Texaco logo. Each of the stations also is being reviewed to ensure it complies with the company's rigorous safety standards.

Texaco also has a 25 percent stake in Société Commune de Logistique, a fuel logistics joint venture made up of terminals, aviation and bunkering facilities. Other partners include the Congo government, TotalElfFina and the trading consortium Trafigura/Tacoma.
