Texaco in Belgium

Belgium was one of the first places outside of the United States to have a Texaco presence. Since 1905, the Texaco brand in the country has grown and today there are 300 Texaco-branded service stations, with an 11 percent market share.

At the research facility—Chevron Technology Ghent—new products are developed and tested and existing products are modified. Activities include researching motor oils and marine motor oils, developing additives for gasoline and diesel, and researching coolants. The marketing department for lubricants products in the country is also based at the center.
