In 1915, The Texas Company—later to become Texaco—entered the region. In Argentina, Texaco has been operating for more than 13 years, manufacturing and distributing a full line of Texaco lubricant oils and greases.

With 6.5 percent of the national automotive and industrial lubricants market, Texaco Argentina operates a lubricants blending plant in Buenos Aires, producing about 120,000 barrels of lubricants each year.
