Texaco in Latin America. Texaco markets products and services in more than 40 countries in South America, Central America and the Caribbean.

The Texaco brand has had a major presence in Latin America and the Caribbean since the beginning of the 20th century. In fact, it was recently named the "brand of choice" in an independent survey of Latin American consumers.

In countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, Texaco is a market leader in fuels and lubricants sales. Texaco operates close to 1,500 service stations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, and enjoys significant lubricants market share across the continent.

Texaco in Central America
Texas Company Ltd.—later to become Texaco Caribbean Inc.—and now Chevron Caribbean Inc—has operated in Central America since the early 1900s. Texaco service stations hold a strong leadership position in most Central American countries. In October 2005, Texaco stations in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama started selling fuels with the Techron additive.

The Texas Company—later to become Texaco—and now Chevron Inc., entered South America in 1915. Texaco has a major presence in Colombia through their 350+ service stations and strong brand share. In October 2005, Texaco stations in Colombia started selling fuels with the Techron additive.
